The aim of this text is to discuss the relationship between Plantinga's philosophy of religion and D. Z. Phillips' philosophy of religion. To this end, the text will be divided into three main parts. First, we will explain how evidentialism is influential in contemporary epistemology of religion and how Plantinga criticizes it; then, we will expose Plantinga's religious epistemology and how the author develops it as a response to evidentialism; finally, we will analyze two criticisms raised by Phillips against Plantinga's epistemology. The thesis defended in this text is that the two authors, despite their differences, have similar interpretations with respect to the foundations of religion, with religion being considered as a Worldview by Plantinga and as Form of Life by Phillips.
